Building Connections: Sociometric Team Building Experience

Join us for this Masterclass facilitated by one of ASB members, Maynard Wong! This is a comprehensive, intensive workshop designed to equip therapists with essential knowledge and techniques to support their clients dealing with narcissistic abuse.

During this intensive, we will delve into the complex dynamics of narcissism, and its impact on victims, and provide practical tips and signs to watch out for. You will gain insights into the various types of narcissistic patterns and understand the underlying factors that contribute to the development of narcissistic behaviour.

Through interactive sessions and case studies, you will explore the stages of a narcissistic relationship and how victims respond to the mind control tactics employed by narcissists. We will delve into the emotional and cognitive effects on victims and examine the reasons why individuals find themselves trapped in these toxic relationships.

Our expert facilitator will guide you through effective techniques to empower clients who choose to stay or leave a narcissistic relationship. You will learn about support group dynamics, strategies to garner support from friends and family, and the implementation of an in-depth narcissistic therapy checklist to aid your assessment and guide your therapeutic interventions.

Breaking the Narcissistic Mind Control for Therapists Masterclass

At A Space Between, we believe in fostering a culture of respect and kindness, not just within our therapeutic community but in all aspects of life. Recently, we've noticed instances where our valued staff have been treated less than kindly.

Respect isn't just about following rules; it's about acknowledging the humanity and dignity of every individual. When we treat service staff with kindness and appreciation, we contribute to their well-being and mental health. Remember, every interaction we have leaves an impact, and choosing respect can make a world of difference.

Respecting service staff isn't just about them; it's also about us. Practising empathy and understanding towards others' experiences enhances our own mental well-being. It creates a ripple effect of positivity that extends beyond our immediate interactions.

Respecting boundaries isn't just about physical space; it's about honouring emotional boundaries too. By respecting the boundaries of service staff, we contribute to a healthier and more harmonious environment for everyone.

👩‍👧‍👦 Activity Ideas:

1. Collaborative Masterpiece: Create a shared artwork with your children, taking turns adding elements and colours to a collective canvas. Let your imaginations soar as you collaborate on a beautiful masterpiece together.

2. Nature-Inspired Art: Head outdoors for a nature walk and gather natural materials like leaves, flowers, and pebbles. Use these found treasures to create intricate nature collages or vibrant leaf rubbings, connecting with the beauty of the natural world.

3. Emotion Drawings: Encourage open dialogue with your children by expressing emotions through art. Ask them to draw how they're feeling using colours and shapes, and share your own emotions through creative expression. It's a wonderful way to foster emotional awareness and communication.

4. Mindful Colouring: Set aside quiet time for mindful colouring sessions with your children. Print out intricate mandalas or calming nature scenes and colour them together, focusing on the present moment and enjoying the meditative benefits of art therapy.

5. Family Vision Board: Create a vision board as a family, filled with hopes, dreams, and aspirations for the future. Cut out pictures from magazines or print images from the internet that represent your family's goals and aspirations, fostering a sense of unity and purpose.
