Assuring that confidentiality and privacy will be maintained in therapy.

What was your path to becoming a therapist?

I was in the finance industry before Music saved me from my own mental health crisis. I decided to get trained and become a music therapist to pay it forward.

What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?

Seeking therapy for self improvement is quite a norm and acceptable for workplace to give mental health days.

What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?

I am pursuing my PhD in music therapy and doing advanced training in guided imagery and music.

What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to try therapy?

We don’t always have to talk about feelings! Those traumatic experiences from piano lessons in childhood - we can address and reframe those experiences together!

What kind of training have you had in working with the LGBTQ population?

I have attended and facilitated numerous support groups for LBQ women for a local organisation

What should someone know about working with you?

I integrate Psychotherapy using music, arts, movement as the primary tool for therapy.

How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?

Being compassion and holding space for individuals, because everyone comes with a story and a journey which is unique to them.
