Jen Marinas

Jen Marinas is a counselling professional and founder of Life Aligned Counselling Services. She earned her MA Counselling (Hons) and BA Psychology in the US.

Jen believes in taking a holistic approach to treating mental health concerns, and having recently gone through her own personal journey through burnout and self discovery, she has a special interest in helping clients as they navigate through life’s many transitions.

Having worked in demanding corporate roles for nearly 10 years, Jen understands the stress and pressure of corporate life and has experience working in diverse environments with people from a broad range of cultural and religious backgrounds. Originally from the US, Jen moved to Singapore as a trailing spouse 6 years ago and has experienced firsthand the unique personal, professional, and familial challenges that may arise after such a move.

Jen customizes her approach to align with the unique requirements of each client. She blends components from a range of modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Jen’s top priority is to establish a safe and unbiased space where clients are encouraged to share their stories, examine life’s challenges, and explore practical techniques and coping skills to make positive change.

Jen is grateful for the opportunity to help clients realise their potential to live a life aligned with their goals, values, and authentic self.
