Melanie Lam

Melanie Lam

Melanie was a marketing and brand specialist for over a decade in Singapore. She found past life regression by chance, having been persuaded by a teacher and mentor to sign up for a course despite not knowing exactly what she was getting herself into.

The course turned out to be life-changing and had a profound impact on her. During the course, she started exploring and working on almost every issue she had from childhood to adulthood, past lives to soul work. Melanie realised this work could bring profound change, understanding, and healing to many people.

With a renewed sense of purpose, she also received training in Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), a technique that combines the best of modern psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. She started Healing Skies where she could combine her passions for both marketing and therapy, where she could spread the word of healing and bring personal transformational therapy to others in Singapore and beyond.

Melanie is now a qualified RTT practitioner and certified hypnotherapist. She is also a past life regression therapist and Reiki Master Teacher.

What was your path to becoming a therapist?

As per my bio it was an unconventional path but ever so fruitful.

What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?

There is more openness to therapy in general as well as to more alternative and holistic forms of healing.

What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?

There are masterclasses and case work discussions.

What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to try therapy?

A common misconception is that therapy is only for serious traumas or to do with experiencing a crisis. To be perfectly honest, the world has been going through a crisis, a pandemic of epic proportions affecting everyone globally. The pandemic has forever changed the way we live and work. More than ever, people are seeking answers, questioning their lives, their work, or their purpose. Therapy can be a space to explore with curiosity or identify and clarify what is on your mind. It can also be just about removing roadblocks with the tools and techniques to help you make that practical shift in your life.

What kind of training have you had in working with the LGBTQ population?

Working with LGBTQ within the scope of Rapid Transformational Therapy.

What should someone know about working with you?

I'm really passionate about this work in helping others discover the power of their own mind and overcoming their blocks.

How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?

I believe in empowering my clients and I work with them to overcome any issues or roadblocks, providing them with the tools and techniques to do that. I also believe in the importance of healing; facilitating healing for real transformational change.
