What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?

I continue to attend workshops and trainings to further improve my competency as a therapist and I do research during my free time to refresh and improvise my skill set to accommodate the changing landscape within the mental health community.

What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to try therapy?

After your first session, you might either walk out with a healthy discussion or the blueprint to becoming a new empowered and resourceful individual. Either ways, you’ve got nothing to lose. So take your chances and start reaping the benefits of therapy today.

I don’t have any formal training, but I do work with clients who are from the LGBTQ community.
